My primary goal in teaching is to share my passion for music with my students by nurturing their development and inspiring their creativity.  During 19 years of teaching, I have observed a diversity of the needs – strengths and weaknesses – both personally and as students of music.  I believe that my job as a teacher is to assist, guide and encourage students in their musical and personal journey of development, so they can think and listen creatively and critically. And in this journey, I also learn and develop personally as well as musically.

Some of the students have go on to pursue music in the following colleges and conservatories: Brigham Young University, Manhattan School of Music, Northridge State University, University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music and Sacramento State University.
